In continuation of efforts to ensure that people of Ondo state are not deprived of the benefits of social amenities that will improve living and boost business development, the Ondo state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an independent market accelerator aimed at tackling inadequately addressed market barriers limiting the growth of the off-grid sector in Nigeria.
Welcoming a team of the market accelerator, Roving Heights Nigeria who are the government's partners in reviewing the electricity regulatory law of the state, the Secretary to Government, Princess Oladunni Odu assured that the Akeredolu administration will always engage credible partners in its quest to put the state on a sustainably strong development pedestal.
The Secretary to Government used the opportunity to encourage other strategic development partners to embrace the structures and processes put in place by the Akeredolu administration to develop the land and its people.
She charged the partners to be timeous in delivering the project. 
The Program Director of Rovingheights Nigeria, Adedotun Eyinade said Ondo state is a viable place for investors to do business and the state needs support to achieve its development goals hence the support his organization is giving the state with an agreement to rework the electricity development laws.
Roving Heights which is working in partnership with Shell Foundation and UKAID towards implementing the Nigeria Off-grid Market Acceleration Program (“NoMAP”) promised to expand clean energy access to the people of Ondo State as set forth in Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s REDEEMED Agenda. 


Present at the signing ceremony were Engr. Razaq Obe, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, and Engr. Stephen Bolawole, State Coordinator, Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Bureau.
